This handmade Monarch butterfly brooch is an original piece of mosaic artwork by artist Linda Webb. Created in natural Monarch colors, orange, black and white, the butterfly is assembled by hand using my signature mosaic process.
It's designed primarily as a decorative brooch, adding an artistic touch to a jacket, sweater, scarf, bag or other favorite piece.
At 2.75" wide, it has enough presence to be noticed without being heavy or cumbersome.
The Monarch Story
The Monarch has always seemed like a little piece of magic in the natural world. Its incredible migration and transformation make it a natural symbol of change, resilience and renewal.
But I also love the simple joy of encountering one in the garden or outdoors.
That feeling was the inspiration for this piece. It's a small reminder of the beauty and unexpected wonder that can appear in the natural world.

My Mosaic Process
I've been creating original animal and nature artwork for more than 20 years.
Each design begins with my own artwork and is built by hand using my distinctive mosaic process. The individual pieces come together to create a dimensional, colorful interpretation of the animal rather than a conventional printed image.
The result is wearable art with the character of a small original sculpture.

What if my order is late due to a shipping delay?
I cannot be responsible for orders arriving late due to shipping delays. I can assure the package will be shipped on time and I will provide tracking information. I will refund items that have been lost in transit but I will NOT refund items that are still "in transit" by the post office until the items are returned to me.
